Cowboy

Today I wanted to share with you a layout I created this week!
I have been hoarding this October Afternoon Collection forever.  I decided it was time to finally break it out and make a dent in it the moment I took this photo.

I used the chipboard horseshoe from the Miscellany pack and heat embossed it with Pewter Metallic Zing.

I added foam pop dots behind the stickers to give them some dimension on the layout.

I ripped up a muslin bag and stitched a piece of it, separating the 2 pattern papers.

I stitched down my title, and added some sequins and bling.
Thanks for taking a look!

I Killed a Kit....

Today I have a photo heavy post, to share with you what I created using this months Studio Calico's Hello, Hello main scrapbook kit and Bonjour embellishment add on.  I also used the Crate Paper Open Road chipboard pieces I bought in the shop, along with adding some alphas from my stash.

I forgot how much I love to use mists & masks on my layouts!

I used the left over paper from the gold edge labels that were in the kit, as a background layer

one can never have enough gold doilies

This layout was made from the scraps of paper that I had left at the end of the kit

I love all the colours on this layout!

I am a little disappointed with how the title doesn't pop as much as I would have liked, but oh well, you can't love every layout you make lol

I can easily say that I killed the heck out of this kit.  I have no papers lefts, but I do have some embellishments left over.  Thanks for stopping by!!

Mackinac Bridge

I created this layout using a recent photo from our trip up to Thunder Bay
and my Studio Calico Camelot Kit & Add ons.

I surprised myself using this colour combo... most of these papers were scattered on my desk next to each other, and the more I looked at them, the more I liked them lol.

I added a shipping tag, and wrote down random facts about the Mackinac Bridge

Once again, I cannot profess my love for these exclusive Alphas that were in the kit this month! I hope they show up in the SC shop one day soon!

I used my hot glue gun to adhere the Crate Paper stickers.... I like how the got glue, pops them off the page and gives them some dimension.

Thanks for stopping by!

Rock Jar

Happy Sunday!
Today I wanted to do a quick post and share this layout with you.
I wanted to document this particular photo, because it means so much to me.  Noah & Liam, no matter where they are, whenever they see a "special rock" (sparkly or pretty coloured) they always bring it home for me and place it in this mason jar. This jar holds so many memories.... Like the morning we spent at the beach a few weeks back, or when we were our for a walk, etc.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by!

Hard Workin' Man

I want to share with you a layout I created about my husband Clay.  I thought it was fitting to put on the blog today because he is away from home working at the hangar in Thunder Bay right now.  He is one of the hardest working men I know.  He is a great provider, and awesome dad and an amazing hubby!

I used one of the SC album insert pages on the background.  I added sequins and rivets and stitched them into pockets, then stitched it to the page.

On the tag, I wrote the words out the Brooks & Dunn's song "Hard Workin' Man".  I also enclosed a little note to clay.

I love these Jillibean chipboard alphas.  I used my hot glue gun to adhere them.

Lots of layers

Thanks so much for taking a look!

Happy Memory

I just adore this photo of Liam! It's one of my favourites, and the moment I took it, I couldn't wait to scrapbook it!  I used my Studio Calico Camelot Kit/Add Ons.

I added all kinds of little details to this layout like sequins, stamping and ink splatters

The moment I saw that pink tule and star pin, I was in heaven!

I was so excited to see the gold foil cupcake wrapper in one of the add ons this month! I could wait to use it!  I added some twine to the buttons and then adhered them with my hot glue gun.

Thanks for taking the time to check out my layout!
