In This House We Do Happy

I wanted to share this layout that I created last week combining Crate Paper's Maggie Holmes Collection & AC Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm Collection.

I layered 2 of the Maggie Holmes frames along with some scraps of paper around the photo

I love mixing fonts in my titles.  I cut part of it on my Cameo and then used watercolours to colour it.

The gorgeous bow is from some Navy Seam Binding from Cassi @ Paper Issues!!!

I cut the leaves out on my Cameo, on Kraft paper and misted it with Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine..

Thanks for looking!

These Make Me Happy

The moment I saw Crate Papers - Maggie Holmes collection, I fell in love hard!  Everything about this line inspired me! From the colours, to the patterns I knew I needed to have this collection!  Today I want to share with you my latest layout I created using it!

For the sequins, I just grabbed a big pinch of them from my bowl and dropped them on my page...where they fell was where I glued them down with Glossy Accents.

I just adore the stitched frames!

I added some foam dots behind some of the die cuts, then added some stickles in stardust

I just LOVE sequins.....

For my title I cut out the words from one of the papers
 in the collection!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Inspired

Today I want to share my latest layout with you.  I was completely inspired by Wilna Furstenberg and her layout using the Dear Lizzy Rub Ons! I will post a link to her video below......

I started with putting an entire pack of rub ons on my white cardstock, then adding watercolours over top.

I added some sequins & flair

and I also added some ink & paint splatters

and of course, I added my trusty stickles!

What has inspired you lately? I would love to see....
add a link in the comments!

And I would also like to say..
Happy Birthday Mom!!!

Lets Rest

I am currently loving 2 things right now
1) Anything Aqua
2) My Jenni Bowlin Quilting Star Punch

Today I put the 2 together and this is what I came up with

I just love mixing my fonts for my titles.

I added a tiny amount of Mister Hueys in Neon Pink, and some Stickles in Stardust

I also added some sequins & cabochon. Some of the stars I layered and lifted for more dimension

The flair is from Paper Bakery.

What are you currently loving right now?

Buzzed

Today I wanted to share this layout with you.    It was a quick layout that I challenged myself with.  This was created with some scraps and bits I had on my desk from the end of an old  Studio Calico Kit.

I splattered the background with some
Heidi Swapp Color Shine

Sequins are great for little details.

Glitter for some sparkle

I hand cut the flower from an older MME paper

Yellow airmail washi was added behind the
hearts on this tag

More yellow airmail washi, and strips
of paper on the edges

I used a mask and some Mister Hueys and misted parts of the paper

I love to create layouts using only whats on my desk. It helps  me use up whats lying around, and it forces me to be a little more creative!

Swing

I created this layout for Paper Issues.  I chose to use the Studio Calico collection - Darling Dear.  I love everything about it, from the colours, patterns and embellishments!

I loved all these cut apart cards so much, I ended up using a simple grid pattern to showcase them.

This wood veneer is from the collection.  I misted it with water then painted it with Mister Huey's Audrey.  I then added the heart sticker from the collection, and the enamel dot from MME.

I used twine to make the bow on the dear.

I layered some chipboard heart stickers from the collection and added a little jewel for some bling!

Now, if you love this collection as much as me, run over to Paper Issues and pick some up..

And don't forget to use my code to save 20% off
your entire purchase!
I would love to hear what collection you have fallen in love with lately!! and why!!! (I made need to buy some new stuff)

Silly Snapshots

Here is a fun layout I made last week using what was left of and older Studio Calico Kit - City of Lights and some MME papers.

I love mixing up my fonts in my titles

And Cabochons (resin flowers) are my new must have item

I love sequins...they are the perfect little touch.  And I  just love the sweet little butterfly from MME.

I hand cut these flowers using my Xacto knife and layering with a foam dot.  I flicked drops of Colorshine Gold & Primrose over the background, then added drops of Stickles in Stardust and Viva Pearl Pen in Ice White.

I added the messy thread by wrapping some around my fingers a few times, then spreading apart and attaching in under the corner of the photo with some glue.

And currently, I cannot have enough doilies in my stash!

What is your current must have item?

Sweet Kisses

I think I have finally found my niche in the scrapbooking world. I realized I love to scrap with busy patterned paper.  It took me a while to figure that out.  I tried to love working with cardstock as a base, but it just wasn't working for me. It was when I gave myself permission to not have to scrap like others, that I really fell in love with the hobby.
I hoarded the MME paper for over a year.  I loved it so much, but a year ago I was too scared to "ruin it"
I absolutely adore this flair from The Paper Bakery.  The owner Sarah make all her own flair, and even team up with companies like Pretty Little Studio, and American Crafts to create exclusive ones!  This was from the set Thats My Boy.

I added some fun bits like the MME Bee brad, and the Studio Calico butterfly stickers and put a pop dot under them.

One of my favourite things to do is to mix my fonts when adding my title.

Sequins, Stickles and Mister Hueys always add an extra little touch to my layouts.

What was your "ah ha" moment in scrapbooking?
