Messy Munchkin

This months kit from Studio Calico was called Glee!  While I'm not a fan of the show, I was a huge fan of this kit! I loved the colours, the patterns, all the embellishments and Amy Tangerine products.  With that said, I struggled at first on what to make with all these gorgeous things (I blame that on the hubby being gone for almost 2 months and me having mom brain!), but as soon as I put this layout together, inspiration and ideas have flooded my head! So thank goodness its a super rainy day here, because I think I may just spend part of the day in my scrapbook room creating!

I used my my Sew Easy Sew Easy with the Burst attachment to make the teal starburst on the chevron paper. I love my Sew Easy and its super easy to use, but my best advice is to make sure you buy the piercing mat that goes with it! It makes a huge difference!  Also my other advice is to practice and watch the video to get lots of tips! To get the bursts straight I ran the Sew Easy along a ruler.  I used Zing Embossing powder in black for the camera, and in metallic purple for the word "oh snap!"

For the title I used the Amy Tangerine Thickers that came with the kit.  For the word "munchkin" I painted it using Mister Hueys Bonny Blue.  I also sprayed the kraft paper with Mister Hueys Warm Calico.  Thanks for checking out my latest layout.  Let me know what you think!

He didn't care that the water was now
cool and the bubbles were gone, he just
wanted to splash!!!

Make-Up

So I'm going to blog about something a little different today.  I was going to post my latest layout, but its missing something, and I'm not sure what yet, so I'm going to go back to it in the morning.  I've decided to blog about my must have make up favs!!!  If you ask anyone who knows me, I am a product junkie!  I love to try all the latest and greatest products that are out there, but in the end, these products are my tried and true fav's that I cannot live without!
Bare Minerals Powder Foundation in Medium Biege
with Mineral Veil.  I have sensitive skin
and have never had a problem
 Nars Blush in Orgasm.
Its a light colour that flatters
every skin tone!
 Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner.
Goes on like butter and lasts forever.

 MAC Eye Shadow in Taupe
& Sumptuous Olive.  Last right into
the next day (perfect for those lazy days)

MAC Eye Liner in Forever Green.
It has gold flecks in it and is
gorgeous with brown eyes.

Cover Girl Lash Blast Mascara
in Blackest Black! Give a
gorgeous fringe and doesn't flake!
 Philosophy Hope in a Jar
Face Cream.  This is a dream for
my sensitive skin!

Smiths Rosebud Salve.
This is a must have for everyone!
I love it on my lips. Leave a nice sheen
and not goopy! You will never
own a tube of chapstick again!
(its also great on your cuticles)

Nars Bronzer in Laguna.
Its the most flattering bronzer
I've ever used.  Anyone can
wear this and not worry about looking
like they just came off the show
Jersey Shore!
 Philosophy Purity Made Simple
Face Wash.  I've been using this
for 7 years, and I will die if it is
ever discontinued!  Its a cult fav!
There is no soap in it so you never have to
worry about your face drying out!

So those are my must haves! Let me know what you think and let me know your must have products! I'm always on the lookout for something new to try!
Maybe next week I could to a post on my favourite hair products, what do you think???

Here Comes Trouble

I did this layout a few weeks ago of Liam.  It had been one of those days, (sigh...) he was into everything, and climbing whatever he could.  On this day I found him standing on my dining room table trying grab my chandelier, later I   had put him down for a nap, only to find him standing on the rails of his bed trying to open the window The word trouble does not even begin to describe him!

Happy 3rd Birthday!

I just want to wish my oldest son Noah, a very happy 3rd birthday! May all your birthday wishes come true! xoxo  love mom!

Hanging at the Hanger

It was a crazy busy summer for Clay at work and with just over an hour commute each way, and working 12 - 14hr days, I kick him out ( hahaha just kidding ) but no, really, I told him take the trailer and stay there and come home on weekends, so that's what he did.  One week it was so hot and disgustingly humid here, (with the humidex it felt like 105F) and the central air broke - Eek! , I decided that was it, and packed up the boys and our dog Molly and we went and stayed in the trailer with daddy!  They were so excited! Noah loves the hanger and all he wants to do is hang with daddy and fix helicopters!!!
