Fly

Today I wanted to share with you a simple technique that adds texture and dimension to your layout.
First I take my patterned paper and cut it into even strips.  Next I adhere it on some cardstock.  Then I use my fingers and roll up the edge of each strip.

Because my background is so bold and busy, I opted for a simple title and painted the colour resist Alphas with watercolour paint.

Have I mentioned how glad I am that rub ons are making a comeback, and in gold!!!

I painted my veneer hearts with watercolour paint, to somewhat match the colour paper they were sitting on.

Have a fantastic day!!

  4. Beautiful layout! I did something like this using a border punch and strips. You can check it out on my blog under the scrapbooking tab. (PS: I love rub-ons still too!)
