Boys Say The Sweetest Things

So Noah had his first ever JK assembly! He was so excited! His class practiced for well over a month!  They were doing 2 numbers in the assembly.  The first was a "Sing & Sign" song, and the second was a Square Dance.

I was so proud of him!  But I noticed during the Sing & Sign he didn't really participate much and he just stared at me with the "Deer in the Headlights" look... Afterwards, when he came to sit with me, I asked him how come he didn't sing & sign? And he told me... (are you ready for this?) "Because I love you so much mom that I just wanted to look at you instead"
It was all I could do not to shed a little tear.

Then tonight when I was tucking Liam into bed, and giving him a snuggle, I told him how much I loved him and how proud I was that he was done with diapers and using the potty.  Liam wrapped his arms around my neck and whispered "Momma, I am proud of you for using the toilet"

Seriously, boys say the cutest things!

Happy Little Moments

Today I want to share with you my latest layout working with Paper Bakery's May kit - Glitz Roadshow!

The kit was full of yummy things like, exclusive flair, seam binding, SC Sundrifter Vellum, Crate DIY overlays and ephemera, Lilybee, Maggie Holmes, Studio Calico papers and more....and that Navy/White polka dot ruffle....that was handmade by the owner, Sarah!
Here is what I created!

The Mask I used for the sunburst was from the Mixed Media Kit - Trunk Show found here.
I used Heidi Swapp Colorshine in Gold to spray it, and I used Tropicana Teal to do the drops on the page. I also sprayed my entire page with Mister Hueys Blizzard for shimmer effect.

For the title I cut out words from the B-side of the Maggie Holmes cloud paper that I used for my layout.

How cute is that flair? Sarah teamed up with Pretty Little Studio and created it.  You can find it here.

I used the SC Sundrifter Vellum and cut waves out of it with my Cameo, then added some Stardust Stickles to the edges for a bit of sparkle, and it also helped to curl the edges up a bit.  I also cut the seagulls (seen in 1st picture) out of the vellum.

And some big news! Paper Bakery will be coming out with their own version of Project Life in July! And if you sign up you will receive a FREE American Crafts 12x12 album (while supplies last). For more info, or to sign up you can email sarah@paperbakerykits.com

I will post more info on the kits as I get the info!!!

Blowfish Kisses

You just have to love blowfish kisses on your window from 2 cute boys!  This may not be the best photo, but I was sitting at my desk scrapbooking and saw this....so I grabbed my phone to snap it!  I think its important to remember, that you don't need to have the best camera, or be the best photographer to capture a moment that you want to remember.  If I had fumbled around for my good camera, I would have completely missed this moment.

You and Me

Today I wanted to share with you a layout I made this past week.  I love the photo in this layout.  Its nothing fancy, its a grainy shot from my iphone, but I still love it none the less!

I used some Mister Hueys Seafoam to splatter on the background.  I also used some drops of Stickles and some sequins.

I added some star sequins I got from The Paper Bakery to the background.

I hand cut the border and then layered the pieces and added Stardust Stickles to it to make it sparkle

Thanks for taking a look!

At The Park

Happy Wednesday!!! Today I want to share with you a layout I made this past weekend using my Studio Calico Planetarium Kit and Jenny Bowlin Frame Stamps.

I started this layout out by taking my Studio Calico Plano Stamp and Hero Arts Shadow Ink in Navy and stamped the background.  I then used Mister Hueys in Navy and Color Shine in Gold to splatter the background.

I used my Heidi Swapp Color Shine mists to paint my Studio Calico veneers, and adhered them with Glossy Accents

I absolutely adore these Jenni Bowlin frame stamps.  The moment I saw them I knew I had to have them.

Layout for Paper Issues

Hi!! Today I want to share with you a layout I created for my Design Team Introduction at Paper Issues!  I used a few things from the store, like the Peacock Feathers Mask by
Balzer Designs, and the Camera Sticker by Amy Tangerine.

and don't forget to use my code to save 20% off your order
ANYTIME you shop at Paper Issues

I used gesso on the peacock feathers mask, then used my heat gun to dry it faster.  Next I used my watercolour paints to colour of the gesso.  I then added some Stickles in Waterfall, and Twinkling H2O's in Ice for the sparkle and shimmer.  I also splattered the background with Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Gold.  I put 3 of the Studio Calico Atlantic wood veneer hearts on the page, then painted them with white watercolours, and then added Stickles in Star Dust.  I used glue dots to adhere sequins to the feathers.
