How I killed my Noel Mignon Kit...

Happy Monday! Today I am going to share with you how I killed my July Pool Party Kit from Noel Mignon! I wanted you to see the value of her kits!  Some people might think that $64.99 is a lot for 1 kit, but in my opinion I think its a great deal!  I spent more than that every month at other Kit Companies, because of having to buy add ons to beef up the kit.

I created the following;
10 product heavy layouts
7 cards
1 tag
18 journal cards for daily documenting
and 1 project my son Liam made!

Here is what I started with...
And here is what I was left with

Because this is such a photo heavy post, I will keep the words to a minimum, but if you have any questions, please leave them in the comments :)

the black camera acetate in this layout is from the backing of the Shimmelle Camera Stamp that came in this kit.  I ended up cutting that stamp into pieces so I could use the dots and the circle lens as mixed media stamping on my layouts

my son Liam made this project :)

The only items I added from my stash were;
gesso
modeling paste
gel medium
gelatos
inks
mists
stencils
watercolour pencils
thread & twine
tissue paper
crepe paper
sequins
roller stamp

And as of this morning Noel still has 3 of these kits left!
You can find them HERE
Its the perfect kit for scrapping all of you summer pictures!

Noel Mignon - Summer Fun

I cannot even begin to tell you how much I love working with the
Today I want to share with you a layout that I created with it.

This layout was inspired by the May Arts Sheer Teal Ribbon that was included in the kit.  The moment I saw it, I knew exactly what photo I wanted to scrap with!

For the background I first started off covering the background paper with gesso. When it dried I spritzed it with water, then took a piece of clear packaging from my stash, sprayed it with several different blue mists and pressed it onto the wet background page, to give a water like effect.  Next up I used some modeling paste and a polka dot stencil to add some texture ( which I seemed to have covered mostly up lol )

The yellow webbing on the background is from a bag of lemons I had in my fridge.  It adds a little pop of colour, and texture to the layout.

How cute is that flair? It was the perfect touch for this layout!
There was so much to work with from the kit, it made creating this layout a snap!

*NOTE the sequins, navy twine & endless summer stamp were from my stash

Noel Mignon - Endless Summer

Happy Saturday everyone!  I wanted to share with you a layout I created using the
Noel Mignon Pool Party Kit!!!

I fussy cut the "Endless Summer" phrase from one of the pattern papers, and paired it with the awesome rainbow Thickers that were in the kit for a fun title.

You can see here how I used a mix of gesso, modeling paste, a stencil, watercolour pencils, ink, mists and gelatos to create this water like background

I used the center circle of the Shimelle Camera Stamp that came in the kit to create these larger, bubble like circles on the background.  I painted it with a mixture of water and metallic blue gelatos, then stamped it onto the background.  The tiny dots are also part of the camera stamp.

I added lots of layers of pattern paper, embellishments, tissue paper to created dimension and texture.

I hope I've inspired you to break out your Pool Party kit and create your own fun summer layout this weekend!!!

Noel Mignon Pool Party Kit

I am excited to share with you that I have been invited to be a part of the Noel Mignon Design Team! I am so happy to be able to work with so many amazingly talented ladies!

I have been so inspired by this gorgeous kit Noel put together!
My first project I created with the Pool Party Classic Kit came together in just under 30 minutes.

How gorgeous is that May Arts Teal Sheer Ribbon that comes in the kit?!!!

To created the pink dots on my background, I used both the Memento Rose Bud Ink and the Shimelle Camera Stamp that came in the kit. First I stamped some of the ink onto my Tim Holtz Craft Mat, then dipped my paint brush into water and mixed it onto the ink. Next I painted the "dots" on the camera stamp, then stamped it onto my page

For the clouds, I cut them out of the October Afternoon Puffy Clouds Paper, then used some Cotton Candy Gelato from my stash to stamp the dots on, and edge the clouds with.

I added lots of layering to this layout to created texture

The moment I saw the awesome pineapple wood veneer from Pink Paislee I knew I was going to paint it with Gold & Lime Gelatos!

I hope I have inspired you to create a fun, summer layout with this gorgeous kit!!
