Happy Summer Everyone!!! First off let me apologize to my faithful readers on my absence....It has been a long month.. First off, we have been crazy busy around the Brown house with all kinds of functions and BBQ's, then we had a flu bug rip through this house and hit everyone over a week and a half, then my dear son Liam, decided to head butt me, and in the process he cracked my nose....so needless to say my creativity has been at an all time low, until I received this digi stamp from Scrapbook Stamp Society. This is Molly - Fishin Fun by Heather Valentin. I just loved how summery this stamp is! It reminds me of our upcoming vacation fishing in Northern Ontario.
I started by making my card using Pink Paislee's Hometown Summer Collection. I just love how summery this collection feels! Next I used my American Crafts Knock Out Punches to make the borders. I highlighted the blue waves with my Stickles - Star Dust.
Next I used my Circle Punch and my Scalloped Circle Punch to make the sun. I edge the scalloped layer with my Prima Chalk Ink in Rusty Keys, then put a foam dot in the center and then put the next circle on top...This added some dimension and then I used my Prima Chalk Ink in Coldfoot Petals to edge it and some Stickles to make it sparkle. For the clouds, I stamped them with Versamark and Zing Embossing Powder in Wave then punched them out with corresponding Fiskars Cloud Punches in Large & XL.
I coloured in Molly with my watercolour Pencils, then added a bit of Silver and Gold Mister Hueys to it. I also added some sparkle to make her eyes pop. I placed a foam dot behind the butterfly to make it look like it was flying off the page.
Thanks for taking time to view my work!
That card is adorable!!!
