Project Life Week 41 - 2016

Happy Thursday! Today I have my Project Life Week 41 to share with you using the Noel Mignon Falloween Daily Diary Kit!

This weeks design team challenge is "Enter if you Dare Challenge"-Create an interactive element on your project

I created a flip up 4x6 card. I have a super easy tutorial a little further down in the post.

There are so many fun elements in this kit. I used one of the Simple Stories 3x4 horizontal card with the hedgehog & butterfly, fussy cut them out, the glued them to a vertical 3x4 card.

I also fussy cut the cute fox & hello friend from one of the Simple Stories cards and used them like little embellishments on my 4x6 card/photo.

Another thing I enjoy adding to my Project Life is a screen shot of a new recipe I tried!

and now for the Tutorial of my flip up card

I used washi tape to adhere the 2 4x6 cards together, leaving just a touch of space between the two. Next I added some machine stitching for some extra detail, and also because I wanted to make sure that with all the handling of this card over time, the washi tape didn't peel off.

Here are some close up photos

I just love that Bella Blvd Washi strip!!

I used a few more of the Bella Blvd washi strips on this journal card, then fussy cut and created the "Today Was..." banner. I ran out of "w" alphas, you I used 2 "v" alphas and stitched them down.

Project Life Week 38 2016

Today I have week 38 of my Project Life to share, using the Falloween Daily Diary Kit by Noel Mignon!

First up is the Process Video

This weeks Design Team challenge is Falling Leaves - use leaves somewhere on your layout.

This week my boys wanted to include some drawings. Noah drew a picture of our dogs, and Liam drew a picture of me! I also included a tag from a new shirt my husband purchased.

you can see here that for the challenge, I used 2 3x4 cards with leaves printed on them, then added one of the Pebbles Rubber Charms that is a leaf.

I found some pictures the boys drew, on their desks, and decided to include them, using a 8.5 x 11 page protector. For some added fun and texture I stitched a ruffled strip of purple velvet ribbon from my stash.

And here are some close ups

Thanks for stopping by! How is your 2016 Project Life coming along?

Project Life Week 39 and a Video

Happy Thursday! Today I have Week 39 of my Project Life to share with you, using the Noel Mignon Falloween Daily Diary Kit!

First off, here is a process video

and here are some photos of my spread.

I love the yellow date card from Pretty Little Studio!!! It gives this project a nice pop of colour! This week I included some instructions from some of the kids new toys. I always think its fun too look back on some of the random stuff.

My neighbour sent me a photo of what our street looked like back in the 1940's, before our house was built. I used my Crate Paper "house" stamp from last months kit, and stamped with Staz On ink, directly onto the photo, to show where our house is today.

I grabbed some ribbon from my stash, and stitched it down the side of my page for added texture. There are so many awesome bits in this kit, from the rubber charms, felt flowers, and the cute stickers!!!

I used my sewing machine with some orange thread and did lots of stitching this week.

I love that fox sticker!! I layered it on top of a tag from my stash, along with a heart, and used a smaller zig zag stitch to tie it all together.

The Simple Stories word stickers are perfect for layering.

Art Journal Process Video - Grace not Perfection

Happy Thanksgiving!!!
Today I have a new Art Journal Process Video to share with you!

I used my watercolours to create the base of this background.

I used used my Ashley G Stamp set from Studio Calico. The circles were heat embossed using Zing Cricket Embossing Powder.

The little mini dot cluster was stamped with Prima Chalk Ink in Teal Damask.

I used a older Studio Calico Chevron Background Stamp, and scribbled Gelatos over it in Orange Soda, Lemon, Bubble Gum. Next I spritzed it with water, then flipped it over and stamped it on the background in 3 places.

I outlined my circles, and the pages with a black pen, then highlighted the circles with Stickles in Diamond.
