Noel Mignon - Endless Summer

Happy Saturday everyone!  I wanted to share with you a layout I created using the
Noel Mignon Pool Party Kit!!!

I fussy cut the "Endless Summer" phrase from one of the pattern papers, and paired it with the awesome rainbow Thickers that were in the kit for a fun title.

You can see here how I used a mix of gesso, modeling paste, a stencil, watercolour pencils, ink, mists and gelatos to create this water like background

I used the center circle of the Shimelle Camera Stamp that came in the kit to create these larger, bubble like circles on the background.  I painted it with a mixture of water and metallic blue gelatos, then stamped it onto the background.  The tiny dots are also part of the camera stamp.

I added lots of layers of pattern paper, embellishments, tissue paper to created dimension and texture.

I hope I've inspired you to break out your Pool Party kit and create your own fun summer layout this weekend!!!

Noel Mignon Pool Party Kit

I am excited to share with you that I have been invited to be a part of the Noel Mignon Design Team! I am so happy to be able to work with so many amazingly talented ladies!

I have been so inspired by this gorgeous kit Noel put together!
My first project I created with the Pool Party Classic Kit came together in just under 30 minutes.

How gorgeous is that May Arts Teal Sheer Ribbon that comes in the kit?!!!

To created the pink dots on my background, I used both the Memento Rose Bud Ink and the Shimelle Camera Stamp that came in the kit. First I stamped some of the ink onto my Tim Holtz Craft Mat, then dipped my paint brush into water and mixed it onto the ink. Next I painted the "dots" on the camera stamp, then stamped it onto my page

For the clouds, I cut them out of the October Afternoon Puffy Clouds Paper, then used some Cotton Candy Gelato from my stash to stamp the dots on, and edge the clouds with.

I added lots of layering to this layout to created texture

The moment I saw the awesome pineapple wood veneer from Pink Paislee I knew I was going to paint it with Gold & Lime Gelatos!

I hope I have inspired you to create a fun, summer layout with this gorgeous kit!!

Happy Fathers Day Dad!

This just may be my favourite layout I've made in a really long time!
Its 11x8.5 and it happened  kinda by accident.
I was making my dad a layout for Fathers Day instead of making him a card. He is the king of scrapbookers!  Not like we scrapbook, with pretty papers and embellishments, but just using a huge binder and baseball card, coin & 8.5x11 page protectors.  He has things like the telegram my Granny sent Grandpa while he was in the Navy, letting him know my dad was born.
I was originally making him an 8.5x11 page. I had already sewn down the paper strips and the crepe paper ruffle, when I grabbed the photo and just kinda tossed it on the page as I was getting up to look for some embellishments.  When I turned back to my desk, I noticed the photo had landed on the page similar to this.  I was instantly in love!
Sequins & Gold splatters make me swoon!
 Mixing up my fonts.
The yellow webbing behind the photo is from a bag of lemons that was in my fridge, lol

Happy Fathers Day Dad!

Crazy Curls and a Sketch!

Happy Friday Everyone!
Today I wanted to share with  you a layout
using a sketch I created for Come On Get Crafty

I designed the sketch 8.5x11 but created my layout 12x12.
I used lots of layers, using vellum, doilies, washi and more.

I added lots of little bits from my stash like sequins, enamel dots, jewels and resin flowers

right now I am in love with shipping tags, and it was perfect addition to the to corner of my layout to layer lots of little things on!

To see even more amazing inspiration head over to the Come On Get Crafty blog and see our Design Teams take on this sketch!!!
