Exciting News and a Layout

So back on July 16th we put our house up for sale.  With Clay working over an hour away, and doing that commute for over 5 years, we both had had enough (especially because he was hardly home when the kids were up). With countless showings and people coming through our house (my house has never been so spotless) we finally happy to say "It's Sold!" .  The paper work went through yesterday and moving day is August 29/30 ...yes, that is right, that would be next week!!!  We wanted to be in by September for Noah to start school.

And here is our new house!  Its in the tiny farm town of Merlin Ontario, population around 700!  Its only 15 minutes from the hangar!!! 

So its only fitting to share a layout of one of 

my favourite flowers from my garden

 (and will need some for the new house)

The 2 Of Us

I made this layout a few weeks ago using another picture I had printed a few years back that was sitting in a box.  In this photo Clay had just taken Noah out of the truck, up near Niagara Falls.  I love how they are looking at each other!

I used my Paper Bakery Flair and some October Afternoon Alphas that I put foam squares behind to pop them off the page. I also wrapped my layers up with twine.

Here I splattered inks, added some Stickles and sequins, and then did some stamping.

I have some hidden journaling on the shipping tag.

Future Pilot

I just love this photo!  I found it in a box of older photos I already had printed.  I have been on a mission to use some of them up on my scrapbook pages. Noah was so excited when Clay put him in the helicopter at work!

Today I wanted to share with you a layout I created with the new August Paper Bakery Scrapbook Kit - Hello You

I used a shipping tag from my stash, painted some glue on the bottom and sprinkled it with Wow Chunky Gold Glitter. 

On the wood veneer I added some gold Stickles to it.

I splattered some Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine to the background, and added a strip of Gold Glitter Tape.

Last week I challenged myself only to work with older photos that I already had printed and sitting in a box.  The moment I saw these 2 of Noah from when he was 6 months I just knew I needed to use them!
